Open Positions
Postdoctoral Researchers in Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry:
We seek highly motivated, dedicated Postdoctoral Researchers to conduct innovative
research that is focused on the preparation and characterization of target organic
compounds, highly air-sensitive organometallic species, and novel transition metal
complexes. We offer a well-equipped laboratory and a recently upgraded infrastructure
for NMR, X-ray crystallography, and emission spectroscopy. Applicants must hold a
postgraduate degree at PhD level (or any other equivalent foreign degree) in inorganic
or organometallic chemistry. Please send your application directly to Dr. Stollenz, including a cover letter, CV, and an outline of proposed funding opportunities.
We are looking for Master Students!
Proper training in our research lab (manipulation of air-sensitive compounds using
Schlenk techniques, column chromatography, crystallization techniques, NMR, IR, UV-Vis,
fluorescence spectroscopy) within at least 1 summer semester before joining the MSCB program is required.
Check out the new Double Owl track Chemistry BS / Chemical Sciences MS!
Please contact Dr. Stollenz for more information.
Research Opportunities for Undergraduates:
Minimum requirements: experience in organic chemistry and a high motivation for research
(minimum GPA: 3.5)
Undergraduate researchers are asked to stay at least for 2 semesters in the group, (including 1 summer semester). We encourage all undergraduate research
students of our group to join the KSU MSCB program!
Registration for CHEM 4100 is possible (Junior level and beyond; 1 credit hour translates
into 3 hours of laboratory work).
An end-of-the semester research report and participation in group meetings is required
for each student.
Research Opportunities for Undergraduates/Graduate Students (Europe):
The Stollenz Group welcomes highly motivated research students of all levels from
abroad!
Please contact Dr. Stollenz for more information.
