  The Mountain Speaks 山说  (Shān Shuō)

  From the mountain top, the city is vast but depressing,
  Hopeful children play and cheer jubilantly with pets;
  从山顶望去，城市广阔但压抑，(Cóng shāndǐng wàngqù, chéngshì guǎngkuò dàn yāyì.)
  充满希望的孩子们跟宠物快乐地玩; (Chōngmǎn xīwàng de háizimen gēn chǒngwù kuàile de wán.)

  The mounting peace fills the void in my soul,
  But the turmoil is reminiscent of the ferryman’s toll;
  不断增加的平静填补着我灵魂的空白; (Búduàn zēngjiā de píngjìng tiánbǔ zhe wǒ línghún de kòngbái)
  可是动荡不定又使人想起摆渡人的渡口；(Kěshì dòngdàngbúdìng yòu shǐrén xiǎngqǐ Bǎidùrén de dùkǒu)

  Though the mountain is calm, the clouds grow ever dim,
  But the rays of light shine through and inspire a passionate whim;
  即使山是冷静的，云变暗，(jìshǐshān shì lěngjìngde, yún biàn an)
  但光穿透云层引发一时心血来潮；(Dàn guāng chuāntòu yúnchéng yǐnfā yìshí xīnxuèláicháo)

  The wind rushes past my face, while I try to capture the moment;
  The mountain speaks to me and I forget rhyme and reason.
  当风掠过我的脸颊， 我试图捕捉这一瞬；(Dāng fēng luèguò wǒde liǎnjiá, wǒ shìtú bǔzhuō zhè yī shun)
  当山对着我说话，我记不起韵律也记不起推理。(Dāng shān duì zhe wǒ shuōhuà, wǒ jìbùqǐ yùnlǜyě jìbúqǐ tuīlì)
