Italian Technology Award, 2019:

Italian Technology Awards is a program spearheaded by ICE Agenza, together with Federmacchine and various Italian associations, which for more than fifteen years has aimed to promote and raise awareness of Italian industrial technology, engineering and design among future executives of Canadian, Mexican and U.S. manufacturing companies. Dr. Nasseri was the awardee, representing Georgia Institute of Technology and Kennesaw State University.

Designing an Aluminum Transformer for Novelis R&D Center.

Dr. Simin Nasseri of the university’s Mechanical Engineering Technology Department and three of her students, designed a 10-foot-tall statue incorporating Novelis’ aluminum sheeting. Novelis is the largest manufacturer of rolled aluminum in the world. The design represents Novelis’ mission of transforming raw aluminum into useful products. The statue also has some hexagonal elements representing SPSU.
