Math 4322: DM II syl.pdf

Homework DM II Spring 2010.pdf

Discrete Modeling II will begin with a brief student-run review of the material I expect students to know from Discrete Modeling I.  By student-run, I mean students will take turns presenting clear, carefully written solutions to the problems in DM I standards for DM II 2009.pdf on the board.  All students are expected to volunteer or be conscripted into service. Students who volunteer get to pick the problem they wish to present.  Mastery of the material from DM I is a necessary condition (though not sufficient) for success in DM II.

The required book will be your Math 3322 text, the 6th edition of Rosen's Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications

From time to time, I will use the computing package Mathematica in the course to explore graph theory and perform some of the more tedious computations for the course.  Students are not required to use this package but it is an option.  I am providing some links for the interested student.  KSU has a site license for Mathematica for its computers in our classrooms and labs.  Documentation and Tutorials for Mathematica are freely available on the web.

On-screen tutorial videos are available.
